Sensior® is a fully automated inspection cell for castings. In addition to the inspection of surface defects using 3D technology, the test part is also precisely measured. Here, the three-dimensional height profiles can be inspected and evaluated by means of the laser light section method.
Car brake discs, fist calipers, drive shafts and many other products are inspected quickly, reliably and with process reliability. The cycle time for the complete inspection and measurement, including handling and sorting, of a grey cast iron car brake disc is only 4.5 seconds.

The castings are inspected from all sides for surface defects such as blowholes, pores or other defects. Detected defects are measured and documented. The data obtained in this way enables the casting process to be improved in the long term. At the same time, the dimensional accuracy of the cast part is checked. The inspection method is resistant to surface defects such as contamination and is adapted to the harsh conditions in the foundry environment. Sensior® inspects completely slip-free with minimal cycle time, so only 100% suitable parts are finished after an inspection.
A three-dimensional height profile of the test part is recorded using the non-contact laser light-sectioning method. This is evaluated with our proven Visioncheck software, which allows fast and flexible adaptation to new part geometries or changed requirements without the need for programming knowledge. The dimensions of the inspected casting and possible defects are recorded at the same time. Both the feeding and the output of the parts, separated according to iO/niO (OK/not OK), are automated by a robot integrated in the cell.
